Current Lead time

Not accepting new custom orders right now due to excessive backlog. No news on when I may begin accepting new orders.  I'm mainly building my Acoustics at the moment.  Check them out at www.mayesguitars.com

Purchasing

A $500 deposit is required to secure your guitar and it's place in the build.  The deposit is non-refundable.  The balance is due upon completion before delivery.  The shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer. While overnight shipping is the preferred method other ways can be arranged at the customers expense.

Return Policy

I offer a 3 day trial period after receiving the guitar.  If it is not to your liking you can either return it for a replacement in which I will alter the specifications you were not happy with and built you another guitar, or I can resell the instrument and once the guitar is sold I will refund your money less any shipping costs.  If the guitar is highly customized it cannot be returned.

Backlog

Due to my schedule backlogs are constantly changing.  Sometimes I will have a guitar available for sale immediately in which case you can find it on the "For Sale" section of this site. Otherwise please see above for rough lead times.

Dealers

I have only one dealer which is www.destroyallguitars.com I use the term dealer lightly because Cliff over at DAG doesn't do business like most dealers do.  You can get your bombshell from Cliff at prices that are exactly the same as you would by coming direct to me.  So if you'd rather deal directly with Desrtroy all Guitars rest assured that your getting the best price, and great service to top it off.
